OUR

MINISTRIES

Ankeny Christian Church is committed to reach out to the world with God’s spirit of love. We seek ways to share ministry with our members, our city and our world. We provide a variety of outreach opportunities both locally and globally.

Adult Ministries

Sunday Morning Bible Study Class:

Adult Bible study class meets at 9:45 am September through May. Our Sunday School class examines themes of scripture and digs deeply into spirituality.

Wednesday Bible Study:

Meets at various 6 week sessions throughout the year. Check the event section for dates and times. Nursery and Children activities are offered for the Children.

Adult Mission Trip:

Adults go on a yearly week long service mission trip somewhere in the states or internationally. Construction projects, building relationships with those we serve, learning about different cultures, and fellowship with one another are the main focus of the trips.

Prayer Chain:

Experience God’s life changing power through our prayer ministry.

Children & Youth Ministry

Mission Trips:

Each year our youth go on a week long mission trip in the USA doing construction projects or working at social service agencies.

CHAOS (Christ Honoring and Others Serving) Grades 6-12:
Our youth grades 6-12th meet on Sunday Evenings  Sept-May for bible study, food, fun and fellowship from 6:30-8:00pm.

The focus and purpose of the program is to help these young people begin to explore their faith through fellowship, service, participatory learning and experiences appropriate for their physical and spiritual maturity.

Sunday School:

Available for youth at 10:45 am September through May. Age appropriate lessons to connect mission work and community.

Church Camp

Each summer adults and children from Ankeny Christian Church attend camp at our Christian Conference Center in Newton, Iowa. The week-long event involves games, bible study, creative activities, great food, good worship around the campfire, and the intentional influence of camp counselors.

In 2019 we have 84 campers, counselors and directors attending!!
